This Was a Greasy Play

OK Guys, during the game last night between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning, there was a greasy play that happened late in the game . This happened between Mikhail Sergachev and Josh Anderson, and unfortunately for Habs fans, Anderson would be hurt on the play.

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. it was clean, stronger man won the puck, no slew foot, simply outbodied and im a habs fan

  2. Goal…?

All jokes aside, ouch that’s gotta hurt. We’re racking up injuries like it’s nothing

  3. Hey, I got a great idea! Let’s put two more refs and one more linesman on the ice. And do automatic mandatory video reviews every four minutes. These clowns are ruining the game.

  4. Hoping Josh is ok, right leg folded up pretty bad. Should have called a minor, but no real intent by MS. Look at Perry in the background, guy was seriously concerned, nice!

  5. I cannot imagine how next season could be as bad as this one but then again i said the exact same thing last season.

  6. Where is the goddamn department of player safety? a fine for sergachev? something? is this normal, or does the league/refs hate mtl?

  7. Penalty or not where are the guys to back up Anderson? If that happened to Stamkos you can bet your azz at least 1 or 2 lightning woulda been all over that. Habs need more grit still.

  8. My biggest concern is not this play… There has to be something with the medical staff.
Some injuries, like this one, I get… But too many.
Also, the story of Dach & Monahan with the time lines. Caulfield, and how he played hurt until they decided, no more.

  9. I've got the perfect solution, been saying it for years. It won't solve all the gambling and corruption, but it would be a very nice first step : ban quebeckers from reffing at a professional level. We've had the most historic franchise here in quebec, the best players and captains and icons. But everytime we send a referee to the NHL it's a complete crap circus. Just Auger and St-Laurent, put them in a room with only one exit. A "push" door. BUT write the word PULL on the door instead. 50$ these 2baboons will die of starvation before trying to push it

  10. that was an automatic goal there was a penalty on that play. but as often it happens Referies do not do there jobs like it should? this does not happen often and those penalties have to be called.

  11. Slew foot basically but use of the left hip more than the leg. Cheap. Im a big fan of Tampa however that was no call bs

  12. It's the left leg of sergachev that was dangerous. Well the combo but no penalty? Shame on the referee.

  13. At first it didn't look so bad. But Anderson was clearly in agony while rolling around the ice. I only notice his ankle buckle after hitting the goal post on the replay. I remember saying "ouch" to myself after seeing his ankle buckle. Hopefully it's not too serious… Poor Habs. They are truly cursed.

  14. The ref was in the perfect position as well. There is absolutely no excuse for this. They all even huddled up after the play, what was there to talk about?? It was obvious, either a holding penalty or goal. They must have been talking about what kind of sauce they were each getting on their wings after the game. Nice attempt to tie the game though, could have a been a bit more discrete though.

  15. The problem was with Sergachev, that might as well have been a slew foot just to prevent an empty net goal?

  16. Could you imagine if the Habs were in a playoff hunt and this garbage does not get called. Don’t you just love Gary Bettman’s world!

  17. Should have been a give me goal or at least a penalty but no penalty and a face off at centre ice. Complete effing reffing bull$hit

  18. The play wasn't greasy, he wasn't trying to injure anyone he just hauled him down. If it's greasy it's because the idiot referee didn't call a penalty.

  19. they need a complete overall for the medica and training staff… they have lost the locker room…Bettman has got to stopping claiming we have the best officials in all Pro Sports where we in fact have the worse

  20. Silly Habs think they play by the same rules. Fun how the Refs hate the Habs as I hate the refs, it’s this cute thing we have where I call them incompetent and then they don’t do their job.

  21. Great video Matt yeah unusual appreciating is going down the oven it's been a big joke in this league anyway so yeah good column good video to help with good work buddy we'll be talking and once we get our computer backup and roll and we'll be back in business too

  22. yet again a habs was interfered with and no penalty plus he is injjured in said play .straight up incompetence from ref
