On August 29, 1997, the Kings acquired center Jozef Stumpel, right wing Sandy Moger, and a fourth round pick from the Boston Bruins for Dmitri Khristich and Byron Dafoe. Stumpel scored 267 points in 334 games, and Moger had 29 points in 104 games with the Kings.
