Welll welllll…. Seems like those that were banking on his "flat footed" ass and slow punches were the only thing Crawford fanbois were hoping Spence would bring to the fight. He's keeping his guard tight, elbows exactly where they're supposed to be and he's SPRY on his feet.
EXCELLENT textbook BOXING fundamentals. The kinds of things most casual observers take for granted. He's pivoting and not wasting ANY movement, all the while pumping that top shelf jab. If you feel he reminds you of someone, allow me to shed some light. He's exactly like Bivol. Erroll Spence and Dmitry Bivol are top tier FUNDAMENTALLY SOUND boxers who take different routes to get their wins. But BOTH are beautifully fundamentally sound. Here Spence also looks SOLID. He's peaking well. Erroll is not one dimensional as most casual fans would like to think and Bray on about ad nauseam. He can adapt and become whatever fighter he needs to be, with a specific opponent. Derrick James has groomed and prepared him well.
From seeing this and knowing how his training camps follow rigid training protocols with top notch sparring, I have no doubt that Erroll will make believers of all the nay sayers out there come fight night.
