Gotta See It: TJ Oshie Scores With One Hand While Diving To The Ice
Watch as T.J. Oshie somehow manages to score after a great deke, then elevates the puck with one hand on the stick while diving to the ice, for a Capitals goal against the Penguins.
Back when the Caps traded for Oshie, I didn't realize how good he would be for the Caps. Dude is a pure hockey beast. Wouldn't have won the Cup in 2018 without him.
I can understand poking that puck on net, while sprawling to the ice, and hoping it trickles in. But elevating it, one-handed, with precision, while airborne, horizontal? Totally insane!
The move he made to get around Matheson is almost as impressive as the way he scored the goal. A lot of the comments are talking about how similar this goal is to Ovechkin’s … the irony is that Ovechkin scored that goal after making the same kind of move Oshie did; But because of how insane the way he scored was — they forget about the move he made before that.
Oshie’s been one of the most underrated players in the NHL for a long long time.
