Kent Hughes has confirmed that Price's salary will be included in the pre-season salary cap so he will be placed on LTIR afterwards. This will give him all the flexibility to pursue his "ascet management" strategy. Get the most excellent prospects possible and draft picks, clean up the payroll and when the time is right attract THE best of the best player via free agency or trade to go for the CUP.
PS: Everyone is happy with Kovacevic's game but Gustav Lindstrom has added value for skating and passing on the fly. He better matches the Martin St-Louis style of play.
