Domi—Tavares—Marner
Knies—-Holmberg—Jarnkrok

But lacking where it matters most in the playoffs: good defensive depth
17 + mil on 3rd line? I don't think Robertson should get a roster spot. I think in games they feel they may not need Reaves IE other team has no fighters then Robertson gets in. Bert – Matthews – Marner

I think Marner and Tavares justifies Tavares' contract and generates more goals. Marner is going to get his points no matter whose line he is on, just as Matthews is going to score on whoever his linemates are.

That T9 is ridiculous offensively, and you can have that 4th line as a shutdown line.

Swapping Tavares an 80 point+ center for Domi makes no sense. Slap Domi on a line with Matthews and marner who have good defensive mindset.
They've got cap issues, so they may be playing with a 20 man roster to start the regular season barring injuries. If someone with a 3M (or more) aav goes down, then their cap problems are temporarily solved. If not, then guys who are waiver exempt (Robertson, Holmberg) or vets with unattractive tickets (like Reaves) will be sent down until they can re-work things. If I'm GM, I'm trading Nylander. I don't particularly want to, but he doesn't play meaningful D, even in the post-season & is the only 'star' player who is moveable. Get a depth D-man with bite for 3-4M aav & that solves the cap issue. You can then keep Jones on the NHL roster, so you don't lose him off waivers & have more felxibility.
