That was a soft touch on the back, McDonagh toe picked right into it.
I don’t think Eichel meant to send him crashing into the boards like that, looked like he l a bit too much steam on his push which knocked McDonagh off balance causing him to dangerously crash head first into the boards.
That being said Eichel should’ve been smarter than that, pushing him on the numbers that close to the boards was asking for this to happen.
It did look like Eichel was trying to apologize for it but Tampa wasn’t having it. Still bad play by Jack.
It looked very unintentional but, this is exactly why you DON'T hit the #'s. Most players are not expecting to be hit this way.. I hope he's ok.

Maybe it's because I'm a buffalo fan but I don't feel this warrants a suspension or a fine. Just playing a physical game of hockey and he hit Ryan as he was on his toes leaning in for the puck. Just a bad hit which he was penalized for. He even stopped and showed some concern. Before getting tied up.

Eichel has always been a dirty player. Listen to his former teammates talk about him, no one likes him. He got accused of touching little boys to but that never made the hockey news obviously.
