We are getting younger as teams are getting older. Sets us up for the future. I believe we lose #35 and #29 and go elsewhere for a #1 netminder/defenseman. For maybe 1-2 years as our 3 goalies develop. I believe we sign a few gritty vets to small contracts in time & cash. As we continue the development of our young core. Both in Buffalo & Rochester . Power stays in college for at one year to win a championship. Jack gets the "C" off his sweater (if we don't have a dance partner yet ). Dahlin & Joker are our #1 defense pair. Mitts is our #1 center , Cozens #2 . We play above expectations and we finish .500 or better our first month into the season. WE WILL NOT LOSE ANOTHER 18 GAMES IN A ROW THIS YEAR NO WAY NO HOW. Culture in the locker room is much much better. I believe whatever team is assembled for us they play for each other. Big care factor as a team not individual stats . I believe when we do lose a game the coaching staff & players will take it personal. And Skinner puts up 50 points and is having fun again (not holding his stick to tight ) . Sabs will have better puck luck this year. Not as any posts and get a bounce or 2 . And last not but least they will be playing in front of fans at home. Buffalo crowd cheering on our team with the best goal horn and music in the NHL.
We need players like you said, they want to come here, but we need players also with big dog fight. We need… as much as I hate the guy… Marchand, we need like 3 of him. His heart I mean. I would take Kaleta back over Okposo.
Resign Ullmark find a good #2 goalie or even go after Aanti Raanta. Try and grab Blake Coleman. I dont have the list in front of me but i hope we grab some goodies to build around now Cozens and Mittlestat. Its imperative the sabres find good wingers to play with these kids.

That being said, I think I would be a spoiled brat as well. At pick two and then doing what he's done, I would probably have been even less patient. I think you're right that it's an age/generational thing. I'm thirty years old – loyalty is dead in the pros, and has been my whole adult life basically.
With Ullmark testing the Market, wouldn’t we need to sign 2 goalies ? On the forwards I’d like Nick Ritchie. There’s no size or Nastiness on the roster. Someone who will open up the ice with just their presence allowing our skilled guys to play their game.

Being a fan isn’t supposed to be this difficult. My dad used to take me to the Aud on my bday as a little boy to watch the Blue & Gold… I stayed up till midnight on a school night to watch Dave Hannan net the game winner on a Hasek 70 save shutout… What is there to even support anymore?
A meddling owner who ran Pat Lafontaine out of town only to go on and only hire 1st yr “yes men” at GM and HC? The same owner who won’t even spend the money to try and compete? 10 years of “suffering” in a league where half the league makes the playoffs, only to trade your #2 overall pick for a 7th rd goalie?
Omg, Pegula isn’t even a good football owner… HE TRADED THE MAHOMES PICK TO KC for crying out loud?!! J. Allen wasn’t even good when he came into the league, Nathan Peterman beat him out in camp. To Allen’s credit he’s put in the work to get himself to where he is now… but that’s something he did through his own gumption, not the Pegulas…

We have no scouting staff and an obsession with 150lb wingers, in a league who’s Back-to-Back Stanley Cup Champs defense is a gang of 6ft’ers…

Do we try 1 more tank for Shane Wright or My Fav Connor Bedard. Either way id do it get a new face of the fanchise along with Cozens.
