Top 15 Saves of the 2022-23 NHL Regular Season

The paddle was mighty this season as Hellebuyck, Sorokin and Saros make unbelievable stick saves while Brossoit, Markstrom and Lindgren make top stops of 2022-23!

  1. This editor loves them some desperate paddle saves. Those aren't great saves, those are pure desperation because the goalie was so caught out of position it was their only choice. They're more luck than talent.

  2. Saros for save of the year…. I´ve never cleared the puck OFF OF THE LINE on my own. Stopped yes, but never cleared. 😉

  3. Whole lot of paddle saves in here, and a gorgeous windmill, and I am not upset in the slightest.

  4. I have lost track of how many times the commentators said that must be the save of the year!

  5. Still don't get why commentators are so impressed by paddle saves. They're literally the easiest to make for a goaltender. #3 is the real only unbelievable save of the bunch.

  6. Markstrom at #11 and Bross at #3 are some prime Hasek-esque saves. May not be pretty but just doing anything you can to make that save.

  7. i love chicago broadcasting, always have, but bedard needs a hype man on the mic. Vosters doesnt have the passion man

  8. what the- 90% of these are pretty much the same kind of stick save. were there no great blocker/trapper saves this year? here's what i'm seeing, lots of goalies caught out of position and scrambling back for hail mary saves. they're fun… but are they 'good goaltending'? I think back to Saint Patrick playing chess on the ice game after game, being in perfect position to make a glorious windmill glove save on someone who though they had the upper hand. I'd love to see more of those, like a 'Technical saves of the year'.

  9. Tbh most paddle saves are just luck and not actually the goalie tracking it like the last one was just a stick out that’s why Sorkins are more impressive and Brossit should be number 1 you could see his eye track the puck
