freeze it at 1:13,,, Smith had moved to the puck, but there is an OPENING between the Goalie and the Boards. Edler is pushing for the puck and the Opening. but Smith Slams the door with his left knee. Smith caused the collision by closing the space. it happens with 1 second!!! Edler is as far to right as he can be, with shoulder on the boards. Look at Smith's knee at 1:13, then at the end of 1:13. Smith moved into the collision, it's evident.
between 0.01 second and 0.02 second mark, you can see it, too… It's all what Smith did with his left knee, a Kneeing penalty!
Edler+Smith=Lucic+Miller but Edler-2 games and Lucic-O games. BS

What a dive by Smith
Smith stood there purposely to get hit then freaks out on Edler. I loved Smith in Calgary as a Flames fan but sometimes you gotta learn to stay in ur crease and not purposely look for attention.
