  1. Looks like Yzerman is going for a run this season and long into the future with veterans and young superstars. 🎉

  2. Stevie does it again. Now he just needs to come up with a way to get Noah Hanafin from Calgary that involves giving them Ben Chiarot.

  3. Hey Lego.
    C'mon man.
By absolutely no stretch of the imagination is this trade a "HUGE HABS & RED WINGS TRADE" as your headline states. It's not a huge trade for either club, really. At 35 years of age, Petry is on the back 9 of his careeer and while still capable of putting up some ok numbers, he wont be feeding the puck to Caufield, Suzuki, Crosby or Malkin so I think we can expect his production to fall off a fair bit this season. And for the Habs, Lindstrom, 24 might be just now considered NHL calibre Defenceman, but having endured at least one demotion to the AHL, the jury is clearly still out with him. On top of that, the Habs have a TON of blueliners so it wont be easy for him to crack the NHL roster in Montreal. The 4th round pick is kinda like asking for extra pickles on your Harvey's Angus burger. It's nice, but isn't going to turn that burger into a NY Striploin steak at the Keg. Me thinks the Habs should have traded for a Winger with a little more upside. And a side of fries.

  4. I'm still mad at Petry for punching Berggren in the back of the head but I guess he'll apologize when they meet in training camp.

  5. I figured out what the yzerplan is….. Just bring Michigan players into Detroit, the guys who used to be kids dreaming of winning a cup with the wings in game 7

  6. Canadiens probably could have gotten better… They definitely had way more time to be patient then again the Canucks didn't get much for Motte and unfortunately Schnidt didn't fit well in Canucks system.

I kind of figured this trade wouldn't be anything as big for Petry since he is 35 and Schmidt was like 30 and got traded for not very much a 30pts+ guy as well it's just pretty much all the teams don't wanna realistically help out other teams in this day and age within the flat cap situation it's the entire reason everybody knows that.

  7. Thank you petry you spent so much time in montrèal for the second time gonna miss ya.

  8. i love kovacevic but i think its the man who will be trade. not because he's bad but because he dont fit anymore…

  9. and montreal fans wanted a first and a good prospect, they get a low 4th,.bottom low prospect and retains 50 percent of the salary, yzerman wins this one..

  10. I also want to add that another player from the Holland regime is gone. Only 5 players are left and one of them hasn't played a single game in the NHL.
