dude's a waste of a roster spot. only tough guys left in the league are the ones that can actually play. If SJ wants to play tough, then bring in tough players….that can play hockey
Gabriel has been wanting to have a pregame meeting with every single team's designated fighter and some of them (all of them) find it pretty ridiculous. These things are supposed to happen naturally, it's 2021. Anyways, MacD knows him from 3 years as junior teammates. So he was clowning him in warmups, refused to talk to him. Gabriel skated on the redline making his "scary" face. MacD cut in front of him with a s*** eating grin and took the crosscheck with a laugh. What I don't know is why MacD was so pissed after the fight (not shown in this clip), since he completely clobbered him. Maybe mad at himself for taking the bait/taking himself off the ice? Being a defenseman, I'm guessing the coaches have told him to ditch the staged fights and save it for responding to dirty hits, etc.
I remember when it was a game misconduct for fighting with a visor on. Now they literally just punch each other in the helmet, and the refs break it up way to early. Fighting in the NHL sucks now.
Why were they not given game misconducts after the first incident? And if its not a big deal, why did the linesmen break them up so early? It's either okay or it's not. Worst reffing ever.
I dont know if we are going to be seeing much of Gabriel now, him and the coach got fined and now hes scratched. That makes me mad because he was making hockey interesting again.
I seen a little bit of him when he was playing with San Jose in the playoffs last year. He looked really good to me. Big, fast skater, intimidating opposing teams Defense on every forecheck. He seriously looked like he could play. I dunno, maybe i just saw his best game of all time. Small sample size. Am I wrong? or does he have good wheels?
There’s no excuse for this. He crossed the line both figuratively and literally. There’s an unwritten rule saying a player can’t cross the red line during warmups

"No, I'M Kurtis!"
If San Jose was doing well, would this guy even be playing?
Do enjoy watching it though

Hey when you're not know for playing the game , might as well get known for being a punching bag .
Gabriel kind of sucks at fighting for being such a flexer 😅
Gabriel has been fighting quite a lot
Refs saved him from head pains down the line.
At this point Gabriel gonna have fought every single dude on the teams he's competing against lmao

This Gabriel guy doesn't look like he knows how to hockey fight in the slightest.

Damn linesman jump in as soon as a helmet comes off now!
This is why we love hockey
LOL!! had to watch the fight twice to make sure, Gabriel didn't throw one single punch! he was just a punching bag for Big Mac.

I hope Gabriel loses a fight every game until he retires, love seeing his face get pummeled.
Just when you thought the Sharks couldn't be any more of an embarrassment

Gabriel got his ass kicked.

Gabriel couldn't hold his own. Maybe don't poke the bear next time.
It's not fighting when you have helmets on.
