You could see it after the next faceoff he went behind the net and passed it, dude mustve felt like a million bucks because that was the cleanest pass I've seen a goalie do in a long time hahha

What I see is a goalie taking a risk (with only a one goal lead and 3 Canucks not that far away) for his own personal accomplishment. He's got a goalie stick – anything can happen. Hit a Canuck, puck is likely in his own net and now it's a tie game. Safe play was to dump behind net for the defenceman already heading there who can clear the puck easier. It wasn't a team play.
