CANUCKS SIGN PIUS SUTER; BIG UPGRADE AT 3C



The Canucks have signed centreman Pius Suter to a two-year contract worth $1.6M per season.

I love this move; it’s a huge upgrade to the bottom six and gives the Canucks some much-needed insurance in the event of in injury to Pettersson or Miller.

    I’m happy about this signing puts less pressure on raty or Joshua this season possibly Joshua as a extra centre this season with raty developing more in Abbotsford

    TBH I think it might be a better deal than Bluegar. Sure it is fine having a good defensive center at that position. We have had players like that before. The other is depth scoring. We need more goals from the 3-4rth lines. Teddy does not do well in that dept. Pius is better in that way. Obviously a better deal. By how much remains to be seen.

    Finally, a third line center was the piece we were missing to have a shot this season. Hopefully the boys can perform well, as on paper we are better for sure!

    I'm predominantly a Rangers & Chicago Fan. As the Latter, I'm thinking that this is going to be A Great Signing for Vancouver.

    Good signing…fills the need down the middle. Love how Allvin is quietly going about his business. No fanfare. He's not making waves. There's a certain calm there, so I'm assured that other business, like moving Myers or getting under the cap, are probably being address properly and quietly. Thanks for posting, Clay.
