  1. Let me know your thoughts on my winners and losers of free agency, remember there will be more moves which could change the opinion

  2. I agree with alot of things you have dais, pretty solid round up. My top 5 winners are Ottawa, Detroit, Edmonton, Carolina, and Columbus ( they gotta get Laine done though) My bottom 5 are Vegas, Philly, Islanders, Toronto and Chicago. The Leafs really need to get trade one of there top guys but they wont. Watch out for Detroit and Ottawa this year.

  3. As a Flyers fan, totally agree with you… Chuck Fletcher has been on the losing end of too many trades and bad signings… He gave up lots of assets to get rid of Ghost, only to give up more for assets for DeAngelo and sign him to a higher cap hit… Gave up lots of assets for Ristolainen… who played sub-par and whose value declined… then didn't want to sell him at the deadline at low value, so signed him long-term at a bad cap-hit… tying the hands of the Flyers when it comes to Gaudreau; he didn't get full value on Giroux, and traded away Phil Myers [and Nolan Patrick] (who at least appeared in games for the Flyers as a 5th/6th defenseman for Ryan Ellis… who didn't play)… bought out Oskar Lindblom, a fan favorite… He also didn't manage to trade G Martin Jones at the deadline for anything, only to lose him in FA this season. Oh and Owen Tippet, one of the main pieces from the Giroux trade, still needs to be signed as an RFA and there's no cap space left after picking up a bunch of depth/AHL level players in FA). At this point, the Flyers need almost a complete re-build, because the way this team and organization is right now, it's not even close to being competitive against the superteams in the league like Tampa Bay or Colorado. Even if Sean Couturier and Elllis come back and play well, this team doesn't have the firepower or defensive corps to make it deep into the playoffs. We might as well trade Atkinson, Hayes, and Laughton for what we can get for them, let JVR go in FA (or re-sign at a much lower rate) and try and draft high the next few years and rebuild around a new corps of Couturier, Farabee, Tippett, York (plus Ellis/Ristolainen who are stuck here), and Hart. If a couple of the recent draft picks like Gauthier, Foerster, Wisdom, Tuomaala can become top-9 forwards… and a you can get another pair of top-4 defenseman then maybe this club becomes competitive again… But until then, this franchise is just a mess.

  4. Chuck Fletcher is destroying the the Flyers . He giving up too many assets and making bad trades one after another

  5. You are spot-on about the Flyers. What a dumpster fire that Fletcher created. Big money cap problems tied up in JVR & Risto, both under-achievers. Ellis is an AWOL mystery, supposedly injured now for 2 years but he's not been seen around the team or giving them no updates. Couts & Hayes are questionable in their injury comebacks. Promising young players & AHL up & comers Farabee, Frost, Allison, Forrester, & Denoyers are all in some stage of injury recovery. Signed retread journeymen Braun, Cunnaton, DeAngelo, & Deslauriers, all who have questionable backgrounds & are defensively weak. Didn't add any offensive talent, missing out on Johnny Hockey, the ultimate prize who REALLY WANTED to be a Flyer because he's from the Philly area. Still don't have a back-up goalie. Their best prospect there is being detained & forced into mandatory military service for 2 yrs by the Russian government. In Fletcher they have a GM with a reputation of ruining his previous teams & an ownership group Comcast who seems more concerned about their communication technology wealth than the sport, team, city, & fans.

  6. As an Isles fan, I am extremely worried. The metro got tougher over the last couple of days and Lou has done nothing. At this point I cant wait until next year when Lou's contract is up.

  7. Winners: Ottawa, Detroit, Edmonton, Carolina, Colorado and Columbus.
Potential Losers: Philly, Vegas, Chicago and Toronto.

  8. Ottawa Senators are definitely winners, now they are more scoring threat, now they have to try to get right defenseman like John Killerburg as a possibility

  9. As a Jets fan and Winnipegger, I've just gotten used to Chevy talking big before trade deadlines and free agency … and then doing absolutely nothing. The Jets always draft well, but I can't even get excited about it because I just assume we'll develop these kids into stars and then lose them after their entry level contract is up because no one wants to live or play in this city.

  10. Lou hasn't announced much since the Romanov trade at the draft, part of me thinks he's got some talks going on and part of me thinks that he's struggling to fit whatever he's planning 🤔
Oh Yes and I certainly agree about Detroit and Ottawa, those guys killed it this off-season, both have the ability to be a HUGE factor in the postseason this upcoming season 👏
