I haven't been exactly thrilled with some of the moves but i am willing to wait and see. No need to be negative on a total unknown.

I'd grade the offseason a solid B. I like the PLD trade and bringing back Gavrikov was a necessity to solidify the top 4 D pairing, especially after giving up a 1st rounder. Getting rid of Cal's contract was a must. Kopitar's extension provides some clarity with cap jumping the next two seasons. While some depth was lost with the trades and the goaltending still remains a question, this is about as good an offseason as the Kings could have with the limited cap space.
I thought the Petersen trade was an A because it was the foundation for what the team did afterwards. It accomplished several goals. It allowed us to keep Gavrikov, to move Walker and Petersen, especially his contract. A player on a bad contract is really difficult to trade because their value is diminished. I thought the penalty for that trade was minimal considering what we got rid of.
