    Only islander fans would boo a player that just wanted to go to play for his home team, and was basically the only reason they won a playoff series since 1993! What a bunch of losers with zero class they are. He left money on the table to play in Toronto, he could've been a Ranger, but he didn't want to go to any of the Islanders rivals. He's a class act that deserved much, much better then he was shown.

    Listen: I am mad at JT and tbh we have every right to boo him. This game has been marked on everyone’s calendar. But I hate how fans cheer “we don’t need you”. It’s completely disrespectful to what he put in for those 9 years. Also the fans shouldn’t be throwing things at him. YES we are allowed to boo him, but assaulting him is wrong. And for all the Leafs fans that are going to find something rude to say towards me, don’t you remember booing your own team and Jake Gardiner??? But anyways this is our game for redemption so just let us enjoy it

    You retards don't realize why the Islanders fans are mad. They're mad because Tavares said he loved Long Island and wanted to be an Islander for life. Instead of saying he wanted to go back home he told the organization he wanted to stay and they couldn't trade him. Guess what they don't need him.
