Highlights from the Mexico 1968 Olympic Games as Great Britain’s Reuben ‘Ben’ Jones secures gold in the equestrian team eventing competition.
Great Britain’s Reuben Jones (riding Poacher) was given the responsibility to be the last rider after Derek Allhusen (riding Lochinvar) and Richard Meade (riding Cornishman V) had put Team GB in a solid position for the final round.
With a conservative approach and a clear run, Ben Jones did not disappoint and guaranteed the gold medal for the British in Team Eventing competition at the Mexico 1968 Olympic Games.
