  1. It was also revealed that the Minnesota Wild also retained 25% of Orlov for a 5th round pick so this was actually a three team trade like we saw with Leafs/Blues/Wild

  2. I think this is a good move for both teams. Boston just got better on the back end an up front, matching Rangers & Leafs trade Hurricanes really need to make a move or two. I hope this knocks the domino's over and we start getting trades. Keep up the hard work!

  3. The Wild are making out well as this years' trade facilitators—I like this trade for both sides. and it looks like the Bruins are getting depth for the playoffs and the Caps getting some picks for the future.

  4. If you can deal two pending UFA’s for a 1st-2nd-and 3rd picks, especially since neither player was likely to return to Washington, is a bonanza for the Caps. Even if they make the playoffs they might not even win a round. Great deal,

  5. As a Leaf fan, I'm very unhappy about this lol. Orlov a perfect fit to Leaf's needs on the blueline. Now what… If Leafs want Gavrikov, they'll have to give up their 2024 1st rounder (highly doubtful, especially for a rental) Both teams do well on this deal. If Orlov wanted 6 years at 31 years old, can't blame the Caps for saying adios. Oilers should now be looking very hard at Gavrikov, not Kane, Karlsson etc. Damn those Bruins…

  6. Stanley Cup is Bruins to lose at this point….geesh…..that team has been an absolute beast all season.
Only request….that they don't top the Habs 60-8-12 record for the '76-77 Habs team that I consider the greatest team of all time…😁 That Habs team was stacked & in the midst of their 4 Cups in a row.

  7. The Bruins are all in. With Bergeron, and Krejci likely playing their last NHL seasons the window closes quickly after this season. I think it's worth it for a legit run at the cup.

  8. I LOVE THIS TRADE m/ m/…..As a Bruins fan for the last 40 years…If any year you would go for it…this is it….I say Keep trading until our playoff cupboards are FULL

  9. Drafting under Sweeney has been more miss than hit, so giving up the draft picks doesn't bother me as much as trying to understand why they felt a need to bolster an already strong position like their LD. Unless there is another trade in the works, bringing in Orlov means sitting out a quality defenseman which seems to be an expensive luxury to have.
Hathaway will make the Bruins tougher to play against, so that's good.

  10. Your not a seller if dealing players in last year of their contract because your hands are sort of tied you have to make a move or resign them.
As to the trade no real big deal Boston has their top 6-9 Orlov might likely squeeze into the top two lines Hathaway likely third line. Will Orlov make an impact>>NOPE Boston is already the top defensive team in the league what are going to do get more on top lol.
If your Bruins management you have to ask WHY have the Bruins been getting beat out in the playoffs the same question the Leafs management needs to ask.I do not think Orlov or Hathaway answer any questions for the Bruins so the team remains the same we will see if they are truly the goats or the fakes.
Playoff hockey is much different than the regular season your playing the same team several games in a row and refs call the game differently.

  11. Capitals I think are going to have to start thinking about the future of this team sooner than later. Our veterans brought us a cup and I will always be grateful but it’s time to start getting some new blood in the lineup. I don’t see another cup for this current team. Ovechkin is chasing Gretzky goal record but he may be done after that.
