2026 will be the Wilds year honestly I think will be the best team since Tampa or Chicago let me explain why cause the time line is perfect and Billy g knows what he is doing. The cap is expected to be raised to 98 million in 2026 from 92 million in 2025. Also the Suter and Parise buyouts are done so that means no cap restrictions and a super good young cheap team with boldy jee etc with super good long term deals. Let me put the roster down

For some of my weird picks for the future let me explain
Zuccarello- like pavelski Zucc is 35 pushing 36 still playing super well with kirill and has insane chemistry and will be a cheap signing for his age next year plus he will want a cup and we will be close then.
Boeser- with how Vancouver is planning to rebuild it sounds only around Petterson and Hughes the best place to be for a cup super good second line to play with he would be back home and the pay with the cap raising would be good. Maybe send Gus or Dumba over in a trade?
Klingberg- idk if we will even be able to keep him this off season but with Addison looking to be a offensive threat playing with perfectly blacked d men like spurgeon Brodin and faber they can do all they want and it would be a short term deal signing this current year to 2026 for like 4.2M do good win a cup and get paid after if not some one else like him.
But Rossi Khusnutdinov Wallstedt all looking to be stars on entry level contracts the year after we would lose prolly spurgeon,Zucc,klingberg,foligno, maroon and have the future take place still with a good core of Kaprizov, JEE, Boeser, Boldy, Khusnutdinov, Rossi, Beckman, Duhaime Addison, Faber Lambos Wallstedt plus we have a good prospect pool beyond that so 2027 should still be good but 2026 if you look at that roster I don’t see any team that’s been around recently beating that if all the prospects look like they do now.
I think the devils get pres cup in 24 and win the Stanley in 25. Could see a back to back but i think they fall off in the late 2020s when all these contracts expire and the prospect pool runs dry

If the devils win 3 Stanley cups before the rangers can win 1 I’m done with hockey.
The Sabres are building a dynasty. This team is already good and they haven’t even gotten close to hitting their peak. Plus they have the best prospect pool in the league. I wouldn’t be surprised if they grab 2 or 3 cups in the next decade.
