Clouder did a brief zoom availability today and was also on Oilers Now with Bob today.
I also saw these two player cards get posted when the signing news broke. First one is from JFresh and the second is from Andy & Rono, both are from their Twitter accounts.
Figured I’d share them since certain people on here are always questioning McLeods value and his skill set. Is he a perfect player? No. Does he have good value and lots of room to grow? Absolutely

Matches the eye test. Defensively responsible, elite on the pk, and his offence is only improving. I really like him as our 3C
I like the disparity between his defensive valuations and the role difficulty (aka you’re good against scrubs).
Normalizes the expectations and I think it’s a fair contract.
Im intrigued to see Holloway – McLeod – Foegele as the third line, that is one big and fast line with everyone able to score 30pts.
69? Nice
Wow much higher defensively and PK than I realized! I stand corrected.
I feel really excited for this kid and his potential. I feel like by the end of the contract he’ll be a 40-50pt player. He’s got solid size, good skating, and a very good defensive game(which along side an offensive breakout), screams playoff performer.
Excited to see him and Holloway grow together
Elite shutdown 3c ryan mcleod
McLeod’s line should have been put up against Eichel’s line to stop Eichel from feasting on the Oilers during the playoffs.
Definitely has the stats to be a great checking line / shutdown C.
In fact, I’d have McLeod’s line out every time the Oilers score to prevent that 30 second equalizer goal that kept happening seconds after the Oilers scored
I’m happy to see him back that’s what I’ll say. I think he has potential to be even better the more he practices and plays. Here’s to an exciting career (on the Oilers).
