The turnovers cost the Bruins any hope of moving on to round two. The Panthers played extremely well in their road games, winning three out of four.

  1. I'm a Bruins fan from Slovakia. Watching this unfold a few hours after the Slovak U18 team lost their chance to medal for the first time since 2003, losing the game 3-4 in overtime to Canada after going up 3-2 in the third only to allow a tying goal with a minute to go…yesterday ranks up there among the most heartbreaking hockey days for me.

  2. Did anyone see a banner about 15-20 seconds before the Florida's 3rd goal that said GOAL FLORIDA and quickly disappeared along with the regular score box? Is that bc of its not live and on a delay?

  3. Boston just handed the garbage maple leafs a 2nd round victory. May as well be playing an AHL team, facing the friggen panthers.

Bruins came back down to reality at the absolute worst time possible. Game 5. It was all downhill from there. Most wins in history, to go out like chumps.

  4. With the benefit of hindsight, we can see that Boston's first round fate was sealed way back on April 1st, when they defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins in regulation. If they would have lost that game, they would have made it out of the first round.

  5. Sorry Shannon, you look like it hurts. Unfortunaly i hate all boston sports teams and love that they lost!

  6. The Bruins have been playoff chokers for a long time, other than 2011. Going all the way back to the 70's, they're always entertaining to watch but blow it in the playoffs.

  7. Well its official, Bruins are the worst choking hazard in the NHL. Took the Canucks spot in 2011! Ha ha ha, so happy they got eliminated with a 3-1 lead! I would rather not make tye playoffs than choke in the 1st round!

  8. Honestly I think it is the goalies of the bruins with the stats I saw , they receive 32 average shot per game but they got scored 26 times. Maybe the shots was more dangerous because of the giveaway or bad empty net coverage of the defense but I cant find these stats.

Their goalies is the issue, he even give the panther one game.

  9. Losing a first round series after having the best regular season in NHL history to a team that has like 20 fans is one of the funniest sports things ever.

  10. I think what happened was the B's thought they had it and took their foot off the gas. There's always a lot of talk with a team like the Devils and their lack of experience, but I think a series like this shows the hazard of too much experience. You misjudge the other team based on past experiences, expect them to give up, and when they don't, you can't get back what you had earlier in the series. This one kind of reminded me of the Penguins-Islanders series in 1993.

  11. What a pro you are Shannon. I know you must have been extremely bitter while recording this but you powered through it and we appreciate it. You still got Dallas and they look real good!

  12. Florida outworked Boston. Florida dared to win, Boston was afraid to lose. When that happens, the previous games doesn't mean anything.

  13. President's Trophy jinx is real. Boston WAY too cocky. Bobrovsky is now 7 and 0 against the record setting Lightning of 2018-19 and this year's Bruins. Amazing.

  14. I mean, every team has had non-calls, Tampa and Toronto game 5 was a joke, 2 huge trips in front of the refs, not called. It's been an issue in every series, officiating is spotty at best so far. Would love it to be consistent moving forward.

  15. RIP everyones bracket 😂

Im pretty happy with the way things turned out, i have no idea at all what is going to happen now

  16. Carter Verhaeghe used to be an Islander. He played in Bridgeport for a few years. Snow traded him for Kristers Gudlevskis. Now I’m sure you’re asking, “Who?” Exactly. He was a goalie who played maybe 1 game and sucked. As an Islanders fan, it sucks to know how we could be been in such a better position. But Milbury and Snow had other ideas.

  17. Your team got rattled by a better effort, Boston didn't beat themselves, the Florida Panthers did.

  18. I told a few Bruins fans before the series to not be too cocky as playoffs are a different beast. It seems some teams can get on such a roll during the regular season (and Boston did it to the extreme) but there is a difference that we've seen so many times that the President's trophy winner is not able to adjust to.

  19. I love the Bruins, don't get me wrong, but I definitely wrote them off after game 5…didn't even watch the last two in real time. I dunno, I've just never thought they were a good playoff team – they can do great during the regular season, but they don't seem to ever get very far into the post-season. Not really too surprised at the outcome

  20. The writing is on the wall for the Boston Bruins; this was their year to get the cup. Now they are in a crossroads.

  21. What a classy recap. I know it can’t be easy to do that, but you did it with Grace and class. Well done lad

  22. Ahhh, Bobrovsky is the slayer of President's Trophy winners. He swept the Lightning in the first round in 2019 tending goal for the Blue Jackets, and now knocks off the Bruins after their record setting regular season.

  23. Florida outplayed Boston most of this series…idk who thinks Boston looked better. Boston looked gassed…blew their load in the regular season. Hats off to Florida..,awesome series.

    Presidents trophy curse
    Records
    Up 3-1

Against a team with a 3rd string goalie and needed to play til the last game to make the post season.

    BIG CHOKE lol.

That being said. Awesome videos sir! I truly enjoy your insight and coverage of the NHL! Thank you.

  24. way to not celebrate early like the rest of bruins bandwagoners, youre a true hockey fan thg.

  25. I knew the Ulmark mistake in game 5 would be the defining moment in this series. As a Cat fan I didn't think it would be in our favor though.

  26. Good I hate Boston. As a sabres fan I'm so happy they lost biggest choke in NHL history. Just like the new England Patriots in 2007 when they went undefeated then lost in the superbowl

  27. Bruins fan here— it took me 24 hours to recover from the devastating loss, but I wanted to say congrats to the Panthers. They played great, and it was a fun series to watch. Wishing Panthers fans luck on the climb.

  28. This is what happens when you are too cocky and don't respect your opponent, lessen for you Bruins fans.

  29. Boston should have stopped trying to chase regular season awards, and focus on trying to win playoff games. Did they learn nothing from the ‘96 Red Wings, 2016 Capitals and 2019 Lightning?

    Presidents Trophy is a curse.

  30. Panthers are a dark horse contender if they can improve their goaltending and defense.

  31. Barkov and Lundell are gonna be fighting over selke trophies for a long time.

  32. LMAO. I fucking adore Shannon. “My answer to that was neener neener neener I don’t care I can’t hear you….. Stanley cup” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
