Most surprising name on this list… Sprong?

Back 10+ years ago when people were still debating whether Crosby was the best player in the league or if Toews, Giroux or even Geno were better than him (by people loooking at just points), I always made the argument that Crosby was a the greatest creator of eventual scoring chances in the league.

His hockey IQ, his knowledge of the X’s and O’s, his grinding ability to go get pucks, and his insane passing ability often turned into chances (sometimes two or three passes by others later) that would never show up on the scorecard, but were nevertheless meaningful.

  3. If the penguins could figure out the power play, Sid’s numbers last year would have been eye popping for his age. They were still fantastic, but damn the power play killed him

I see PHI and CBJ are well represented.

No Flames to be found… go figure. Just more proof of how dogsh*t our year was.

3 in the top 25 and Bryan Rust still coming in at 35 despite an incredibly frustrating season.

Every time I see more of these infographics from last season, the more contempt I have for Ron Hextall. If he ever gets a job in the NHL again I’ll be shocked. And laugh at said team for being so stupid.

Love seeing Geno, Guentzel, and Rust on there too.

Where’s Ovechkin? Lmao! He’s 19th in the league in salary but he’s a complete liability on defense and generates no goals on his own. He can only score when force fed the puck or on a power play. Massively overrated!

Spronger bringing it in the rear! Good for him

Our wingers are always sooooo underrated cause of Crosby and Malkin.

I will always hold a grudge against the NHL for preventing me from seeing those top three names on a national team together.
