He got pushed in, avoided stepping on Holtby and then took his sweet time leaving before tapping in the garbage. It's what every other player would have done.
I totally see Holtby's point. Shore should have made more of an effort to get out of the crease instead of staying in the way of Holtby. On that same note, does anyone else think that d-men need to stop cross-checking near the blue paint?
That shouldn't be a goal… Yes, he was pushed in but he makes absolutely no effort to get out of holtby's way not allowing him to get over and make the save…
Understand both sides, but the referees need to explain why its a good goal, because it should have totally been goalie interference, its literally showing the definition of goalie interference
Orpik is a dumbass for pushing that guy the way he did but if Shore had enough time to get his stick down and go for the puck then he certainly had enough time to start getting out of the way
Unreal. I cannot believe they call that a good goal. Go ahead a blame Orpik, but Shore made no attempt to leave the paint or allow Holtby a chance to make the save. That's a farce
Don't think it should have counted. Yea he got shoved in, then another shove but he makes 0 effort to leave and just stands there in the blue paint and once the puck comes over bats it in mid blocking Holtby inside the blue. But D-men need to stop cross checking at the blue paint, you're inviting them to fall on the goalie to get away with interference.
What are the refs even. He made no attempt to get out of the crease, just like the denied sharks goal last year in the playoffs versus the predators because pavelski stayed on top of Rinne making no attempt to get off, you have to make an attempt to get out of the crease and the stars did not
Only one second passed between the time when he was pinned to the crossbar and the goal. You don't want him in the crease, don't push him into the crease in the first place.
Orpik with 3 cross checks on the play, putting the opposing player over his own goalie, and then has the nerve to say "no way" to the referee. Nice try.
everybody needs to stop saying the refs suck. they are doing just fine. in fact they are doing better than normal. show me a controversial goal from these season where they made a bad call. but not thw minnesote one from a few weeks ago. i allready seem it.

Hello
Orpik is not good
Mia Khalifa is so triggered right now

BS
BS
The initial save was impressive
I understand he was pushed in originally but he just stood in there when the goal went in….shouldn't have counted
He was pushed in, good goal.
At first I thought this wasn't a good goal but I see why they called it a goal. Orpik pushed him into the crease

good goal
So is holtby trying to push him out of the crease or hug him
refs are trash he had time to get out of the way
Short and sweet, good goal.
although sharp was checked into the paint he made no effort to get out, no goal
Orpik, buddy, WHY would you push him INTO our goalie's crease????
-Caps fan
He was pushed in and made 0 effort to get out of holtby's way, we have a goal!
Ok he was pushed, but it was clear that Shore deliberately stayed there to distract Holtby. Shore should know better than that.
But his leg was literally on top of him.

Stop pushing the opposition into your own goaltender, dumbasses
well he was pushed twice :/ good call.
HOW THE FUCJ IS THAT GOOD THE DALLAS PLAYER RAN OVER HIM
Understand both sides, but the referees need to explain why its a good goal, because it should have totally been goalie interference, its literally showing the definition of goalie interference
It's a goal because his teammate pushed him in. Don't worry my college hockey team lost in finals to something like this.
Orpik is a chode. Shove a guy into your all-star goalie a few weeks before playoffs. Brilliant move there guy
Orpik is a dumbass for pushing that guy the way he did but if Shore had enough time to get his stick down and go for the puck then he certainly had enough time to start getting out of the way
Good goal, Orpik's fault.
what a scandal. how is this possible in the nhl?
Orpik paying literally ZERO attention to the puck. C'mon man
Unreal. I cannot believe they call that a good goal. Go ahead a blame Orpik, but Shore made no attempt to leave the paint or allow Holtby a chance to make the save. That's a farce
Orpik pushed him into holtbeast

If you have time to stand up and swat at the puck you have time to get out of the crease
Good call…Orpik being himself wouldnt let him out of the crease.
