My man turned down a chance at a 2nd cup with more money to play in Ontario for a worse team
i think he is banking on having a huge season with stutzle/tkachuck/giroux and is hoping to pad his stats to either get moved at the deadline to a contender, or secure a 4 year retirement contract with some other team

Between the first deal with us and firing his agent to this just seems like he didn’t want to come here. It is what it is. We need people that are on board with the franchise and wanting to win a cup by whatever means necessary.
Oh well, must be something about us he wasn’t too interested in. Ottawa is also like a 5% tax difference with what he’d pay in NC. But that’s ok, I wish him well outside of playing us.
Even Ottawa offered more (6×1) than what he eventually signed for. No clue what was going on

Canes definitely low balled him lol. Strickland posted a correction that their offer was less than $4M
He used to be a solid player but he had bad injuries and was not THAT good last year…maybe we dodged a bullet.
