There’s no guarantee tarasenko would’ve signed with us anyway. Tofolli is a beast and like tarasenko has cup winning experience. It worked out well for us and I’m grateful. It’s hilarious to see canes fans complaining about this. They think there is some grand conspiracy of why he didn’t sign with them. Can’t even consider that maybe he just didn’t want to play for them

Nope not at all. Aging wingers is not something the devils have any need for at this stage. Goaltending and penalty killing dman is the only thing we could potentially need once the season gets rolling.

Fitz didnt “sign” toffoli he traded for him.
I dont see how this is too relevant to us outside of before he was traded, its been apparent for awhile we were nowhere near this guy in interest.
Injuries are a big problem for him, i would bet on him being closer to 60-70 points if he truly finds a clean bill of health, honestly my instinct is he this is John Klingberg all over again, he had a decent contract with term and his agent bet on something better and when Vlad figured out that wasnt happening he fired the guy.

Toffoli has a more physical game, scores more (at least nowadays) and is much less injury prone than Tarasenko.
