Why they put slow brain dubnyk on here? He has no clue. Him and Burns weren’t buddies. It was a nightmare scenario with the 2 of them. Karlsson is a me me me me me me me me me type of guy and Burnsy is a good ol boy with the boys. They are not compatible we saw what happened in San Jose with them both. Karlsson was whining the whole time. Plus people don’t understand. It’s easy to be a huge point guy playing D on a garbage team that doesn’t care if you’re playing forward half the game and letting goals go in your own net. That was Karlsson. Just doing his own thing his own little moves where he would get destroyed in the playoffs with the big boys. He’s not an elite D man. He’s an elite rover. But there’s only 5 players on the ice now little Karlsson not 6 like back in the early 1900s. I would never grab this bum. But I do like the dynamic of him going to Pittsburgh. They have solid leadership and Malkin will rough him up in the dressing room to get him in line. I like him on Pittsburgh let’s make it happen!

You can't win with defensemen like Karlsson, Hughes, and Dahlin who get paid to be offensive wizards while being AWFUL at actually defending. And that isn't to say you can't win with an offensive-minded 1D. But guys like Makar elite defensively too. So was prime Letang.
People blindly looking at his +/- and making defense criticisms didn’t actually watch him play every game this year lol, he’s not elite defensively but he stepped it up this year, not his fault the 2022 sharks sucked
OMG! Just trade him already! His fat salary combined with being injury prone has cost the Sharks heavily! Yeah, he’s an elite performer when he’s healthy … but that could change in a flash! Dump him while there is substantial buzz due to his record performance last year!!
I'd like the Sharks to focus on the rebuild and go young, trade to the Kraken for Shane Wright, and a couple expiring contracts that can be moved at the deadline. Retaining a portion of his contract.
