Even Strength TOI – Found this breakdown to be revealing. As I have said, Special Teams is really the difference in playing time for the Top 9 Forwards. The Kids are not being neglected! Points per 60 shows the balance and length this lineup has. Maybe Kravstov needs more ice time! /s

They’re absolutely neglected. Being in the top 6 vs bottom 6 for NYR is literally the difference between having the opportunity to play offense or not. The 5v5 offense splits with/without Fox on the ice the last two seasons are unbelievable. Bottom 6 on NYR means spending the majority of your ice time flagging down Harpur/Nemeth/Schneider chucks into the neutral zone. If by some miracle you gain the offensive zone then you’re just hoping the shift doesn’t end prematurely with an unscreened point shot into the trapper that was going wide. The fact that the kids can outproduce some of the vets in certain categories is insane
