Bruins are in a tight cap situation and it was for the better of the team they didnāt sign Bertuzzi and the Leafs took that opportunity to sign him!
Bruins were winning every game before bringing in Bertuzzi.
He did his job in the playoffs. He was probably the teams leading scorer. What they need to do is maybe trade a goalie. They don't need two starters. Trade one for a young centerman, and see if the team can find a Pattie, Bradzy and Milanzovich for seconds…….hahahhhahahahha GL
So Tyler is acquired by the Leaf's? On another note. JT Conpher was traded from Colorado Avalanche to Detroit Red Wings. Don't know who got the best between Toronto and Detroit? One thing for sure. It's going to be a different set of teams come Regular Season

Letās face the real facts they blew their load on pasta and now they have to put older bargain basement players around him. Nice job don you should of took your chances with pasta and kept this core intact. the mistake you and other commentators keep making is that the Bās couldnāt sign Bertuzzi in the end because they did not have enough money left after signing Lucic, JVR, Shattenkirk, et al. Wellā¦ BOS never should have signed those old has-beens until they had the Bertuzzi issue completely solved. They should have found a way to work out a deal with Bertuzzi and then they would not have needed to sign many/most of those old farts. Maybe it would have taken an extra day or two? Please donāt tell me that there were teams lined up to sign Lucic et al away from BOSā¦ And even if, worst-case, some other teams did want those old guysā¦ how much would BOS have suffered from losing out on them? Why worry so much about bottom-end roster players when you need top-6 players more than anything?!?!
Last year was not a complete fail. They took a finalist to seven games and had em 3-1.
Vegas won with size, speed, youth and well hell, talent. Stone in the Playoffs cannot be stopped or contained. Marchesault. Even their puck boy was getting points. Not only that they were pulverizing Florida with size, speed and hits. We are not going the right way. I'm worried about Looch. Love him. I have his Jersey and all but I don't think we're going the right way. Had to keep Bertuzzi. Those other kids? We'll see. Bergie and Krejci? Give it another go, see how things are at Xmas with them. But, that shoulder and back has been an issue for many years with Bergie. Even to 2011 when we won it all. If it doesn't work out see who is available.

As a Wings fan….I really enjoyed Bert and was sad to see him go. Jealous of the other team even. BUT…… he didn't get his long term deal. So MAYBE YZERMAN knew something we don't. That being said – I'm pissed Toronto got Domi. Domi in Detroit would've been cool on so many levels š

There was no shot the B's were going to sign him, even after the trade with Chicago, they had only 6 forwards and 6 D signed for the 23-24 season. They have to be able to put a full team on the ice and unfortunately Bertuzzi was a casualty of that, just like Hall was

That title is misleading. The Bruins wanted to keep him but he realized too late that he was only getting a 1 year deal. It wasnāt a rejection but rather more a š¤·āāļø we run out of cash.
