He’s the kind of player that you really hate when he’s on another team, but you will love him here when someone throw a cheap shot on Necas or Aho and he will fight that player no matters who it is.
We got some rascals this offseason with Lemieux, Bunting, and DeAngelo. Orlov is a big fella who doesn’t share the same mentality but can meet the moment if called on. Overall I like that they finally added edge. I would have preferred a tougher guy for 7D but I guess Coghlan earned Don and Rod’s respect for other reasons.
so you are saying he is warmed up and ready to go when we start winning again this season?!
I don’t see him making the line up unless we make some more trades. If we get a top six then Jarvis will probably be shifted down and Noesen has been solid. This is assuming Turbo is out as well.
Drury is more established, and Rees probably will have to prove himself in training camp/preseason.
Guess we can pull him up if we start getting bullied.
I mean.. I’m glad we’re fixing this glaring weakness of the team, but the fanbase has been saying we needed a few of these guys FOR YEARS. They don’t have to fight every night, but they have to be capable of going anytime the opponent runs after our softer skill guys.. which is most of them.
