Another option is to ask Gio to pull a Spezza and threaten retirement if he gets claimed on waivers.

If he did that we could keep one of Holmberg up and have him play 3C, Gambrel (not using waivers) and have him play 4C, or Robertson and have him has 4LW (this makes the least sense).

How does it look with trading Jarnkrök, Holmberg at 4C, Lafferty at 3RW, and Nicky Bobby/McMann/Steeves at 4LW?

Seems like a better option to me.

Gio, although I like him, he’s cooked. Played wayy to much last year.

Making no significant moves has us where we are and have been for ages.

That’s actually not terrible. I’d rather have 1 of Pontus, Gambrell, or Robertson over Lafferty, but running this 11/7 at least for now is pretty good

don’t see Lafferty on the opening day line up. Trade, Waivers or Marlies

  7. I have a feeling Holmberg wouldn’t clear waivers, which is why I would prefer him in the opening night lineup

IMO our LW depth has gotten drastically better than it was on opening night last season

Just waive Reaves, maybe someone will do us a favour.

Just for fun based on the above roster, didn’t they try Timmins at forward for a little bit last year, could be a fun experiment. Edit: Kinda like a Byfuglien, Burns type thing

Moves are going to happen. That McCabe – Klingberg pairing is NOT okay, and Treliving knows it.

0% chance Nylander takes 7m. He’s 9.6+ minimum. Gonna need a few moves.
