Habs wanted a young center, but NHL ready.. just so the Slaf draft doesnt look bad.
Now Slaf will be fed and develop better.

THEORY i actually think that Kent might try and Trade newhook and 2 great potential ds just like Harris and barron to the capitals to aquire their 8 pick, capitals are very much un need for a Bunch of young players and 3 prospects vs 1 , if i was the capitals i would take the offer 100%
That’s what a rebuild is. Throw a bunch of younglings at a wall and see what sticks. If only half of them pan out, the Habs will make the playoffs for years to come.
