This is DEVASTATING For The Boston Bruins

One of the best (if not best) 2 Way forwards in the NHL in Patrice Bergeron has officially retired. After 19 seasons as a Boston Bruin, we break down his impact in the game & how he was able to so good for so long.

  1. My favorite moment form him is when he asked Tage Thompson how his wife was doing. I don't think that Boston is going to make it far they are going to have to fight for every point.

  2. Legend. Thank you for everything! Your family comes first now and we understand, but that doesn’t make you any less of our family! Love you and thank you! #MerciBergy

  3. Great person on and off the ice.. I watched him live winning the Stanley cup in game 7..

  4. The big bad bruins are done lmao time for Toronto to make your life hell

  5. Bergeron is my favorite player ever since I was little and always will be my favorite memory from one of his games is when he won the Stanley cup in 2011

  6. Boston took a hit this offseason. Losing Berg Kriecji and Hall might be too much to overcome. Hall on the third line was huge for their depth and being strong up the middle was so crucial for them to be as dominant as they were last season

  7. Damn, the Bruins' Cup window is closed, slammed shut, and boarded up. They're staring down the barrel of a long, long rebuild, similar to what teams like the Red Wings and Devils had to go through. But that core gave them some great memories. Shame that they couldn't get that second Cup win, but it was a hell of a run.

  8. irreplaceable hero in boston now just another legend. well see you in the rafters

  9. He was in the negative after coming back to for the playoffs. Bertuzzi skated circle circles around him. Enjoy the retirement.

  10. Nope. They got a first-ballot HoF player.
He is the best player to retire in a long time.
Guy is going to help this franchise for a long time to come.

  11. 12 years of being a B's fan, Bergeron has always been here.
Man when the puck drops in October it's going to feel weird without 37.
Bergy, thank you for everything you have done for the Bruins and the city of Boston. Enjoy your time with your family.

  12. As you said "the eye test" he was even better. I hate the Bruins but I'll miss him. Also I don't think Krejci stays around. Best Bergeron memory was when he played with Sid in the World Cup.

  13. I'm 26 so this is the first time in my memory that its hitting home how we are seeing the end of a generation that I will look back on fondly.

You think they will end up playing forever you know…

  14. Despise the Bruins but Bergeron has been nothing but a class act his entire career. Absolute bummer that he's retiring. Wishing him nothing but the best in his future endeavours.
