Sambro NS 15 year old Jacob Newcombe comes from a small fishing community about an hour drive from Halifax. After years playing in the TASA Minor Hockey Association he has cracked the lineup of the Halifax Macs of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League. For the past two summers, Newcombe gets up early in the morning to fish so he can purchase whatever he needs for hockey. John Moore caught up with Newcombe, who scored 25 goals last season for the Gulls in the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League.
