Okay leaving aside my obvious feelings about buying him out ๐
Were we really “aggressively trying to shop him”? They then linked to their own article which from what I recall was nothing more than a rumor anyhow. If we were actually trying to get rid of him, wouldn’t we have bought him out already or given him more starts in Coachella to make him look like an asset instead of having him ride the bench while Joey took over completely?
This is what has me so puzzled (and anxious) about the Driedger situation. He seems to be both wanted and unwanted at the same time. Like clearly we didn’t want to buy him out, yet Joey was the one who got called up for the NHL starts, and Joey just got a one way contract… so…? Quit playing games with my heart Ron Francis ๐

Apparently canโt trade for a player to buyout either.
