I think Dorrion made an excellent deal provided Kubalik stays healthy and productive.
The reason I really like this trade is that Ottawa has a winger that is a playmaker,and excellent on the powerplay in Kubalik,who can play second line left wing.Even for 15 to 30 games of the regular season.
Always liked Kubalik and if they can extend him on a reasonable contract i think this trade works out rly well
So Trent Mann gone from the Senators.
I feel like the players that refuse to play for everyone but a couple teams and kind of force their way to whatever team they want are very entitled and think they are much better than they are. They tend to flame out into obscurity when they finally get what they wish. I have no doubt the same thing will happen with Debrincat in Detroit. Luc Dubois will be requesting a trade out of LA within 2 years.
Is it me or are there an awful lot of unhappy players who only want to play for team "X"? And it's not like they all want to play for the same team, they just don't like where they are.
Dorion is trying to build a contender but if guys don't want to be there what can he do

Back when Kesler wanted out of Vancouver, his only two teams he was willing to go too was Pittsburgh and Anaheim and apparently Pittsburgh was on the verge of trading for kes but then the Anaheim trade happened
This is the type of trade Ottawa had to make. It’s a good trade for them. They don’t take back any long term money and get a first rounder for a player Detroit could have signed for nothing in 12 months. Pinto can now be signed and at least they’ll have the option next summer to extend Sanderson and chychrun
Picking up Lemieux should add some bite to the Carolina line up.
If there's no news about the Blues, Shannon should just make some up.
Is anyone surprised PLD wanted out of Columbus and Winnipeg?

The PLD situation reminded me of that "ugly divorce" video you made and i think we need a part 2 of that. Itd be cool to see some other ugly breakups between player and team. Dubois on there perhaps?
As a life long sens fan, to me with the lack of leverage Dorion had in the negotiations I think he did well enough. I think the mass media coverage of the ordeal definitely hurt the package more than anything. All in all I think it was a decent trade.

As a Canes fan, I liked it better when we were the known as the clean team. I am really worried about the DeAngelo reacquiring, and putting Lemieux in the mix as well? I'm more than a little nervous.
Nope… dorion is the issue we took a huge loss AGAIN..he needs to go and we need a proper rebuild without this tool running the team..💯 we will be bottom of league in a really crap draft yr…so beautiful…could have been bad last yr and we could have Bedard or another great player…the guy is just making bad trades , brings in bad player's…it's a joke .and he Needs TO GO..also players shouldn't have the power to force teams for a trade…it ain't right. the boos should be towards our gm also..I can't wait till the day he gets fired…that day we need a parade 💯🤣
I remember the Keslar situation far too well and the Dabrincat trade just disgusts me. I think more should be done to prevent players demanding trades from cherry picking teams. Im not sure what, but it seems completely unfair to GMs who are forced into taking less than market value return.
