Dylan Larkin Scores 2 Again! | Red Wings Winners of 3 in a Row!

Dylan Larkin came out of the gate flying and was quickly rewarded with 2 more goals. This brings him back to a 30 goal pace, with 20 now on the season and 50 total points. Goals were also scored by Jonatan Berggren, Gustav Lindstrom, Robby Fabbri, and Pius Suter to take the Wings to a 6-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks. It is Detroit’s first win streak since November 25th. Ville Husso also strung together his 3rd straight quality start. #lgrw

  1. Johnny Backdoor Hamberglar!
    Rubble rubble 😂

Copp and Charoit were the 2 players
Alternating “A’s” before Ras got the honor.

  2. Scotty. Your face says it all. Sick of this shit.. Glad the Wings won, but fuck if it isn't dampened.

  3. Pretty good win. Watching Petterson just teeing off with like 5 straight slap shots on a Vancouver power play was pretty humorous

  4. I think Larkin has 100% taken a step after this all star break. He genuinely seems more rejuvenated and feel like he took a next step with his skills in his career. I think being around such elite players and him performing will during the all star game made him realize the playmaker he is and where he can really push his skills. Love to see it, and this version of Larkin I'd happily pay the $9M price tag for.

  5. Also regarding the Chiarot not wearing an A, Ben Chiarot started the convo to give Rasmussen the 'A' tonight. I know we criticize Chiarot due to his poor performance, but he clearly is a leader in that locker room and Rasmussen seemed very happy to shout out Chiarot for being the guy to take that step forward for him tonight.

  6. I wanna get your guy’s take on how Raymond gets out of the lineup and we’re finally able to string along a win streak, do you guys think that he might’ve over complicated things? Does he actually belong on a top line with Larkin? Can Larkin finally shine without worrying about giving the star rookie chances to put up decent stats? Or is it just me thinking like this? 🤔

  7. Ras wearing the A took me back to the trip when Blashill benched Cholowski for a homecoming game against Vancouver.

  8. Their forecheck and o zone possession and cycling is much improved. Their transition game is improving. They’re gapping better, cycling better in the D Zone, collapsing as needed and doing a better job of not blowing coverage (losing their man). They’re improved in the neutral zone in both directions. They’re 52 games into a new system and the eye test says they’re starting to come together within that system. It takes time. They’re playing better hockey, period.

It’s time to sign Larkin. I think Larkin still has more potential than we’ve seen. Get him signed. Somewhere between 8.5 and his ask. It will definitely be a good value contract in a couple years. With the right line mates Dylan can put up 100 pts. They should sign Walman too. Walman and Berggren have been the best surprises of the year.

I think Newsie should pair Chairot with Hagg on D3 and see if a hard checking D line works in his system. Those 2 could be a wrecking machine with the caveat that you’d just have to see how bad the downside is. I’ve just noticed that Chairot does seem to suck the offense out of his partner. Example- I haven’t checked the dates but it sure seems like as soon as he was paired with Hronek, Hronek stopped scoring goals. Walman goes out, Chairot goes on with Seider and first game Hronek is back on the scoreboard and then had good looks last night. We all saw the change in Seider when paired with Walman and the change in Walman for that matter. I like the grit and energy in Chairot’s game but it does seem to come at a price.

  9. I wonder if these comment sections on YouTube and Reddit where a surprising amount of people expressed being content with trading Larkin got back to him. Seems like something lit a fire under his ass, in the best way possible.

  10. If they win the 3 games they have in hand they would be tied for first wild card…I thought it very odd that at the all-star break almost every sports commentator implied they were out of contention. I realize they have been inconsistent but that is hardly "out of contention" with 30 games left.

I'm not saying the wings will make the playoffs, but I hope they do.

  11. If bertuzzi gets traded, I immediately become a fan of that team. I hope he stays a wing. I don’t wanna be a stars fan.

  12. Larkin looked like Vintage Fedrov using that speed and skill to blow by the Van D. Fun to watch. He was on a mission.

  13. Thank you both for the support. It’s hard, and it’s especially tough for it to be at a place I have known and loved my entire life. I was on campus earlier for a couple of classes, thank god I went home after.

  14. Rasmussen (last night) and Seider (2nd game vs. NJ) have each worn the A twice during the regular season. Other than that, the rotation has been between Copp, Perron, and Chiarot. This preseason, guys like Bertuzzi, Rasmussen, Määttä, Seider, Erne, and more also wore the A

  15. Thank you so much for the support Brian and Scotty my sister goes to Western Michigan University in Lansing MI and my god i couldn’t ever imagine something like that happening to her. Prayers to the victims. Love y’all great episode.

I think Larkin really did benefit from the all star game he’s looked a lot better and looking like he’s gotten over whatever pain he was playing with originally

  16. Larks ,and really the team in general, puttting a bit of pressure on Steve comming up on the deadline

  17. I was at the Red Wing game in Vancouver and needless to say Larkin was great. He may be sending Stevie a message. The Canucks were brutal in their own zone. In the two games Wings had a total a 48 shots and scored 11. Delia was awful on two of the goals from Fabbri and Lindstrom.

  18. Miller, Pettersson were not factors in the game in Vancouver. Hughes missed quite a bit of the 3rd with a skate problem.
