Should Jonatan Berggren stay up with the Red Wings? #lgrw #shorts

  1. Johnny Burgers is not getting sent back down, and with that, he’s probably the final nail in Zadina’s coffin

  2. I thought he should have been on the team when I saw him in training camp. It made no sense when they didn’t put him on the team

  3. Reminds me of Tomas Holmstrom during the 1998 playoffs. Until then, Holmstrom was a player we only saw when other players were injured. Now, in the second round of the playoffs, Doug Brown was injured and out for a week, so they put Holmstrom into playoff games for the first time. A week later, Brown was recovered and ready to go, but they couldn't take Holmstrom out because he was playing too well. After Brown sat for one additional game, they finally took out Brent Gilchrist so that he could recover from a nagging injury that he had been playing through, and put Brown back in his place.

The next summer, they told Holmstrom what every young player wanted to hear: "You really should get yourself a place to live in town", because they didn't anticipate ever sending him back to the minors.

  4. When they announced the night one roster with Soderblom over Berggren i was intrigued but also confused, especially with the AHL season he had. Glad he finally got his shot, ideally he never sees Grand Rapids again 🤞

  5. If Berggren is not on the team at the beginning of the season, other prospects will scratch their heads in the future about signing with Detroit .

  6. Cant wait to see where he ends up playing this year. Maybe 2nd line? 😅 Eitherway i hope he's on the powerplay this year.

  7. No chance he gets sent back down. He has stupid good playmaking ability that I only see getting better in the next few years.
