New York Rangers Got More Older
So what's the percentage that Zack Jones won't make the team?
Hopefully, my Rangers keep Kane and Tarasenko. You never know what they’ll get together with us in a full season and they didn’t really have much time to gel because we only had them for a few months. If it doesn’t work out this upcoming year, then it’ll be time to let them go. If we had gotten them both in 2021, instead of this year, then we might’ve made the 2022 Stanley Cup Final, especially if the Atlanta Thrashers had stuck around because it means no playoff realignment to make room for a team in Winnipeg and as a result, we would’ve won the Atlantic Division crown and played the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2nd round, who would’ve been a much easier matchup and who we would’ve swept easily, instead of playing the much grittier, peskier and more physical Carolina Hurricanes, who pushed us to a game 7 and would’ve used that lengthy layoff to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning in 7 games and would’ve also pushed the Colorado Avalanche to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, even though the Avs would’ve still won and either that’s what Gerard Gallant’s 1st season with us would’ve been or we would’ve hired either Joel Quenneville or Peter Laviolette at that time and their tenure with us would’ve started with a trip to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final. As a result, we would’ve won another Atlantic Division crown this year because of entering the season with all of the momentum in the world and would’ve therefore, swept the Pittsburgh Penguins in the opening round of this year’s playoffs and the Islanders in the 2nd round (assuming that they had either kept Barry Trotz or had Ken Hitchcock behind the bench) and would’ve also beaten Toronto in the Eastern Conference Final in 7 games and then either beaten Seattle in game 7 or lost to Vegas in game 7.
They can’t sign those guys zero money
