As goalies we’ve been their, you get hurt but try to play it off. And tbh that’s on the coach and trainers to asses the players after something like that happens, because in a game the Adrenalin is going in players who love the game so much
As a goalie trying to tough out an injury usually has disastrous results.

Mike Smith has always been a selfish goalie, hes taken more penalties then any goalie i’ve ever seen. Now he’s gonna cost his team cause he wants to stay in the net when hes hurt, if i was a teammate i’d have zero respect for that.

Why didn’t the refs stop the play? They do when players or other refs go down.
Oh man.. Goalie got pulled, but all 3 of those goals were massive defensive blunders; gotta feel bad for the smith. First goal giving someone a prime shot from the slot on a perfect look wrister with all the time in the world; they're going to put that in 8 out of 10 shots. Second goal the clown fiesta that ensued from the defense and back checking – that was so bad I don't even know what to say; again basically giving someone a free look break-away for nothing. Third goal the bloody awful giveaway, whatever defenseman that was that fired it back to Florida up the wall with time should have been benched for the rest of the game after that.
3rd goal was a bit soft, but all three of those were a total clown fiesta from a defensive standpoint.
This is Smith's fault as much as it is the coach. Yes, he should have been pulled going into the 2nd period, but theres also no way he goes back in unless he insists he has no injury and can still play.
