The Philadelphia Flyers unveiled their new jerseys for the 2023-24 season, and created little changes to the iconic brand. After seeing another NHL team stick to their roots, and others go back to their throwback designs in recent years, it makes you wonder why these NHL teams are scared to do something new.

I personally hope to see the Panthers remake one of our old jerseys from the 90's for a 30th-year anniversary jersey next season.
Fuck yeah you uploading makes me wanna skip the boop the bop
Please do a career sim🙏 I would pay you to do one
I 100% agree, I want to see brands take steps forward and not just regress into the old faithful designs. I don’t understand how growing the game means going back to classics. Your point about it diluting throwback specialty jerseys are right on the money
Reminds me of the 90s to early 10's uniforms
Nice Video
New design philosophy is to just make things ‘simple’. And everyone uses the same software program to make them. It’s cheap and easy to use. So new designs all have the same feature sets and detailed work is super risky.
Case in point Florida panthers. Old logo has a good bit of detail. New logo (on helmets) just smooths out the edges. The jersey is also just a smoothed out representation of a panther on that all too common shield shape.
More detailed logos like the 90s islanders are just easier to mess up.
Hell, some of the NHL Prototypes were freaking awesome to look at and imagine what would they look like on the ice. The one of the Flyers prototype jersey looked cool.
Arm numbers are actually growing on me. I like these jerseys, but ditch the alt colored name plate already!
Just realized the legend is back
