  1. Cam Neely and Eric Lindros also fit into that power forward category led by Bobby Hull.

  2. Good Grief. We just spent the last 6 months listening to the Vancouver media constantly ask "When is Horvat being signed? When is Bo being traded?". Now, he's gone less than 24 hours and the media has switched over to "When is Demko getting traded?" I'm not one of those 'all Vancouver media are terrible' fans but sometimes it's really hard defending the press here.

  3. I moved out to the Island last year and have never been to the Waddling Dog Pub yet. Is it any good? So far, I've enjoyed the Penny Farthing, Irish Times and Route 14, as well as the Crow and Gate. Is it worth taking a taxi up from Sooke? I hate sports bars, though. I enjoy traditional, old school pubs with really well made, classic pub food and a great beer or whisky selection. Sure, it's fun to go watch a game at a sports bar at times if the food is good, but very often, I just want to sit by the fire on a rainy day with a double Oban with ice and water on the side and a scotch egg with hot Keen's mustard.

  4. Marc Andre Fluery book it now. Still has hockey left. And Goaltending tends to age like wine.

  5. Why on earth would the Canucks trade Demko right now? He had his worst ever start to a season, and then the injury. There’s less value there than ever before. Where’s the replacement? This idea makes no sense at this time.

  6. As much as I think Horvat was a good captain, and from what I have heard from people who have met him in person, a great guy, he is a shoot first center, and the Canucks never did much with him as the captain. I wish him the best of luck on the Islanders, but if he wants to be a part of a Stanley Cup run, it's not going to be in the island.

  7. It is embarrassing to see Donnie fawning over Bobby Hull like that

  8. Bo had a knack for coming in clutch, and he will be difficult to replace. This trade makes me so very sad

  9. We didn't get much in returned Demko for Marino right shot Defense islanders can win Draft lottery Hopefully a good right shot or two Demko need a fresh start canucks got Delia is ok

  10. Craig says the right things about Vancouver. It's all about DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!! We need help and yet we keep getting forwards.

  11. Donnie, Bobby, regardless of his play on ice, he was a reprehensible human being, and being good at hockey doesn't change that. Enough. This has severly changed my opinion on Don Taylor. Your fond family memories of the man don't change the fact that after you idolized him on the ice, he went home and beat the crap out of ALL OF HIS WIVES.

Bobby Hull said he thought Hitler had some good ideas.
Bobby Hull told a Russian Newspaper that the Black Population in the US was growing too fast, and that they should be prevented from breeding.
Bobby Hull assaulted a Police officer who tried to stop him from beating his wife.
Bobby Hull beat his first wife with steel heeled boots and hung her over a balcony by her feet.
He then ghosted his FIVE CHILDREN and was not a part of their lives. Thank Christ.
Bobby Hull is an admitted racist.
HE DID NOT MAKE IT HARD TO HATE HIM.

Nothing he could ever do on skates could possibly excuse this, Donnie. What would your wife say? Your Mother? How would you feel if Bobby was your dad? I congratulate you on the strength of character for you to be able to ignore all the above. Not everyone could know all that, and still insist your guest pay tribute.

Let's all take a moment to remember the biggest piece of shit to ever play in the NHL.

    Fuck Bobby Hull.

  12. A lot of the time I don't agree with Mr. Button but on the goaltending I totally agree unless Demco is going to be injury problem player.

  13. We’ve all said it once and we’ll say it again: Canucks have the worst media, fans and management in the sport. It all started in 72 when they booed Team Canada off the ice (Hint: Espo’s speech) and there’s never been love for Vancouver since. Proudly raised here but never once a fan of anything to do with this team.

Ps. Get a new owner. His own family doesn’t like him.

  14. What would have made this a home run would be to get a young top-4 defenseman back, but the problem was that if the price was too high and it's too close to the trade deadline, then you risk running out of time and taking a bad deal out of desperation. Also, the more you let Bo play without trading him, you risk him getting injured and you get nothing for him…

  15. Let's be honest, Horvat and the Canucks were too far apart on the money. There was no way Bo was going to $20 to 25 mil on the table with this his last contract, turning age 28 this year. If the Isles re-sign him at 8 for 8 or around that market price, then so be it. They have gotten themselves a pretty good player. But it will be interesting to see what he gets paid to re-sign and stay.

  16. Trade Demko …big fan of Donnie …if you can get 1, 2, D-man …go for it …goalie will arrive later ✌🍁🦫

  17. when beauvillier succeeds in vancouver and horvats numbers tail off drastically maybe then NYI will see there are some serious issues with that team. Bo would be smart to sign that extension right now.
