  1. KHL president Alexey Morozov tried to honor the contract recognition agreement with NHL even though it's inactive since last year but CSKA patrons(army and other corrupt state-owned businesses) forced the league into submission. There is no law here, only the will and threats from the above "management" matter.

  2. Doesn't matter who Canucks bring in , Vancouver Canucks will finish in last place

  3. Don't know the logistics of how a young player becomes draft eligible but I feel like there needs to be some written agreement saying that hey if you are making yourself available for a NHL team to draft you need to to commit or be penalized or banned.

  4. Flyers will always do flyers things, so much dysfunction 😂 I can't wait to see them fail once again ❤

  5. I'm sure that Fedetov signed the KHL contract willingly too, though likely with a gun to his head and/or those of his family….

  6. I say if a player does a KHL move like that, the league just banishes him. Can't trust him to stick to a contract, don't let him back 🤷

  7. Fedotov didn't want to sign the contract a year ago and he was going to Phila( year ago he wants to play in NHL!), but he was forced to serve in army ( I just want to remind thar CSKA – army club and in ussr if u play in cska it was easier for you with military duties) and now a man has lost a year of his life simply because the club's management is very vindictive and has the power to dispose of someone else 's life and after that it is signed with club and people who put him practically in jail?) and another interesting thing that we just don't see happy Fedotov anywhere.
I'm absolutely sure he was told.that if he leave cska and don't sign the contract, then there's no way back for him to KHL

  8. Hodgkin's lymphoma has a very high cure rate. it responds very well to radiotherapy and the typical treatment course is a matter of months, not years. Its most treatable in these young folks (15-30) like Lemieux/Novak etc.

If you know/see a young person with gland swelling, unusual fevers, weight loss or night sweat symptoms, encourage them to get checked out. The outcomes are mostly positive and there is long term hope

  9. Hog's on a good deal, maybe he'll bounce back next season and we can maybe trade him for some assets after(?) Unfortunately we don't have space on the top 6 for him…

  10. I’m surprised the Flyers took a chance on Michkov after all they’ve gone through with Fedotov.

  11. Russia is a corrupt kleptocracy, so there are a ton of people (hockey players or otherwise) getting a bye on military service if they can pay. I like everything about Hoglander's game except for his shot. It's just too soft for the NHL. The only way he beats a NHL goalie is by deflecting the puck in or deking through the crease. If the Canucks development coaching can improve his shot strength he will be a decent winger on the 2nd line.

  12. Dude fedotov rly dodged a bullet already completing his military service. Although staying in russia will most likely get him men sent to his door and papers to join the war or jail time. Not sure the rules about hockey players in russia

  13. Shannon, russian fan here

First of all thank you for your work and covering all of this bunch of news and stats in your videos. This has become a part of daily routine for me.

What I want to say is that you should not say Moscow when you're referring to a team, KHL has 3 teams in Moscow so please do it in Rangers/Islanders Dodgers/Angels way.

    All the best!

  14. Great to hear about Novak. A video about players going through horrible diseases/injuries and still coming back to play would be cool, like Lemieux, Letang, Lindblom, even Berard

  15. The Fetodov situation is fascinating. It sounds like Russian players can ignore their NHL contract if they’d prefer play in Russia. What does the NHLPA think about this?

  16. Suspect Fedotov is just a pawn in all this and has little say to where he ends, and what he wants will not be important. Potentially dangerous for him and his family to be outspoken as well and knows he should keep his mouth shut.
