  1. Luke Schenn is low key the best bang for the buck defensemen in the NHL. He isn't some kind of technical genius, but he plays straight lined 1990s defense first hockey and he always uses his size to gain an edge for his team. Definitely elite at what he does.

  2. We talk about the prospect pool being dry. How about the growing skill of active players? JT Miller, Hughes, Pettersson, Pod, Hog. This team can get better, without any new pieces but of course new pieces would be welcome. Who knows how good?
