Regardless of all the BPA chatter with Willander, he’s a damn impressive kid for 18. Wow.

Now we will all be wondering what the trade back scenario was to move two spots back! Oh well.. they seemed pumped to get their guy!

Willander seems very mature and to be saying the right things. We’ll say how it all plays out!

  4. Love these BTS vids. Allvin saying lots of things I like to hear. And wow- wasn’t expecting to see actual snippets from the player interviews.

Footage of the combine interviews is not what I expected, but very fun to see the behind the scenes in that way. Would have liked to hear their thoughts on their 4th rounders though

I wonder how Lekkeremaki’s interview went with the Canucks. Just doesn’t seem like he exhibits the same character as Willander.

  7. Great content. Also great to hear how excited they are to pick who they think is the BPA.

Willander brings up a great point about switching to defence and how forwards are able to do a lot more skills training than defence. I remember when I played Junior and my only skills training was the training a did myself. Team practises allowed me to take maybe 5 shots per practise. It was the same old routine for defence in practise. Whereas forwards get way more exciting drills and chances to be creative.

Compared to past All Access Videos, that was a very PR-sanitized edition. Could’ve been titled “Why we drafted Tom Willander”.

Very few clips of deliberations on players, no insight into phone calls with other GMs, no shots of trade talks on the draft floor, and no mention of any of the picks besides Willander or Brzustewicz. The 2017 video was far more exciting, but it looks like the Canucks made that video private.

I wish the Aqullinis weren’t here long term….

Alright and for our “chomping at the bit, trying to get something out of nothing” time of the video, when Derek Clancy talks about the centerman not being there? Someone ahead of Brustewicz they liked?

Obviously this video is designed to make the front office look good but I’ve liked what I’ve seen from Allvin, especially this off-season compared to last year. Been running on hope for so long, its so critical that at least 2-3 of our top prospects turn out to be good contributors
