    And most recently in 2023, Canada defeats Czechia 3-2 in OT to win gold again, thereby becoming the first country to win back-to-back gold medals in 10 years. Overall, Canada has now won 20 world junior championships. Finland and the US have both won 5, Russia 4, and Sweden and Czechia tied at 2.

    Rantanen, Laine, Aho, Hintz, Puljujärvi, Kapanen, Kähkönen, Mikkola…

    Also other NHLers Juolevi, Niku, Lammikko, Vehviläinen, Saarela and Björkqvist

    I think Saarijärvi will get his shot also soon, so then 18 of the 25 starters in the final would have played in the NHL

    World juniors is literally a Canadian party thrown by Canadians for Canadians lmao everyone else just gets a free vacation out of it. It’s now come to having like 4 maybe 5 competitive teams if your lucky the rest are a joke and it’s almost embarrassing lmao. We’re sittin at 20 golds after this year and our next runner up… the Soviet Union💀 cmon bruh they haven’t played since ‘92 and they needed to be under “CIS” ffs

    No ones mentioning sweden getting absolutely robbed in those finals, 2014 for example Sweden had the whole game but just couldn’t get the puck in the net and then somehow ristolainen came and scored an offside goal in the overtime

    That Mactavish save lol, wild finish to that game pardon the pun. I been following this since around 1979 I think Team USA is the most improved they were real fun to watch this year, gg.

    The 2017 game was the most entertaining because USA came back in the game and it was Canada vs USA just that makes it entertaining

    I love European teams : Sweden,Russia,Finland, Czech Republic.Slovakia. And I love the style of USA as well.. Hopefully Canada will never be the Champion again. The best team of tournament 2022-2023 was Czech Republic. What an amazing performance. Canadians don't even know where Czech Republic is. Located in Europe or in South America or in Africa? They just don't know.

    Canada against everyone. We do have a deep respect for Finland and Sweden, however.
    Respect for Czechorslovakia for surviving Soviet communism. Little respect for the rich kids from the USA. Hatred for those whining-cheating idiots from russia.
    Non-hockey note: How amazing is Norway in the winter olympics. How amazing is University of Southern California in the summer olympics.
