Has there been any discussion of Debrincat recently?
Alex DeBrincat is a Red Wing.
Our top line is now an extremely lethal scoring threat.
Steve Yzerman is our General Manager.
We have Edvinsson, Kasper, Cossa, Johansson, Mazur, Wallinder, Buium, Danielson, Sandin-Pellikka, etc. waiting in our prospect pool as well as guys like Soderblom and Berggren already cracking the lineup.

Still absolutely stunned by how little we gave up in the Cat trade and how team friendly his contract is. An ironclad W for the good guys.
Is it time to throw what we have left in cap space at Kane? Ignoring the personality flaws, having him on this roster with DeBrincat could make for some insane chemistry again, and really help elevate the winning culture of the team. Just need to warn Detroit cab drivers.
So am the only one who doesn’t like the 4 year deal? No one else wants him locked up longer than that? Love the trade, the player.
What’s getting me excited is the fact I have no idea how our lines are going to shake out this year. Outside of Larkin 1C and Seider 1D. There’s more talent on this roster than there’s been in like 7 years

Debrincat on the left finishing right to left passes is insane.
Now all the Sens fans are saying how Konecny is from there so they’ll get him for a 2nd and some prospects. I thought Leafs fans were really bad about just making shit up but damn the Senator fan base on Twitter is unbearable, and they called us delusional lol.
DeBrincat, watched some of his tape from the past two years. Seems like a lot of his goals come on the power play.
How is he defensively? Is he a liability, average, etc? How is he in 5 on 5?

First trade in what feels like forever that isn’t some 3rd line plug and I’m absolutely stoked. Great move by Yzerman turning Bert into 4 years of DeBrincat. Going to be a fun season to watch.
Happy Days again in Hockeytown. I’m enjoying the afterglow of the Debrincat trade and dreaming of the “possibility” of Stanley Cup playoffs in Spring 2024. Still just a dream- but a wonderful dream. LGRW.

It feels so good being on the receiving end of trade once again (and more than just getting a goalie for a 3rd round pick or Leddy to flip). The Wings have won a handful of sell trades and even gotten a better player back (like Walman lol), but there hasn’t been a trade where the Wings have gotten the big headline, roster improving player in a long time

I refused to watch DeBrincat highlights before the trade was finalized. Didn’t want to be as heartbroken if it fell through
But damn. People who say he can only score because Kane fed him back door are completely wrong. As someone with absolutely no credibility or scoring experience, the thing that is impressing me the most is the way he approaches the net and finds land to get open. He has a tendency to skate hard AWAY from the player with the puck before moving up ice. He keeps creating lines through the middle of the ice by being patient before darting into the open space. He might not be driving play, but he’s definitely creating his own opportunities.
I’ve seen so many plays of people just driving the net or trying to get open as fast as they can, and in both instances the lane gets clogged up. DeBrincat almost drops off the radar before popping back up right at the moment the pass is being made, entering open space that he created himself a few seconds prior
He may be a pure finisher, but he also seems to be very smart about it. His timing on these highlight packages is unreal, and I am getting more and more hyped the more I watch
