That McLeod arbitration is gonna save us. The buyout is absolutely better than riding out that contract. The caps going to start rising which will help off set the buyout cap hit. The cap savings could be used to buy an extra year on the Bouchard bridge deal.

I don’t think McLeod should be getting more than $1.5M or 1.75 at the most TBO. Yamo got 1.5 in Seattle. I get that he took a discount last year but with Bettman screwing the teams with not increasing the cap in McDavids prime years, every player that wants the cup more than money should take a discount until the cap goes up.
Nosak would be a decent addition.

I know a lot of people are hoping that the oilers get rid of Campbell but it wont happen and I'm not worried about it. I have lots of confidence in Campbell have a strong season.
Soup deserves a chance at redemption.
So Campbell had a bad beginning last season many players do when they switch teams. I bet this season we see the $5 million a year Jack Campbell and what he can do. If not then maybe talk about buying out next season but give him a chance!
Bouch should remember that his first half of the season was far less than stellar and take his 2 x 3.6 mill and say thanks. Then we will have to deal with a much larger contract in 2 years, when Drais becomes a FA…. Yikes
