Here comes the leafs fans who think they know what goes on behind closed doors lol seems like toronto media are trying to make a narrative that neglects that there might actually be toxic locker room.
(1) Money
(2) Relative anonymity
schenn is one of the ones who ages really well. he will be effective for the duration of his contract. i don't usually care about a player when they leave the canucks but i hope luke all the success for his time in nashville. varna is 3 hours away from toronto and a tiny community. i could see ryan not liking the attention he got in toronto.
Hmm, first line or third line minutes 🤔
Let me guess before watching…”he lost his love for the game again!”
He’ll probably get 1st line minutes in Nashville, could be a factor.
ROR and his cowboy hat can go have fun in Nashville, he’s already won so what does he care anymore tbh. And the leafs probably only offered a 1 year deal similar to the one they gave to Bertuzzi.
He’s probably in the “retirement planning” stage of his career lol.
All of the above imo…and I will add that O'Reilly is a musician and Nashville is a good place to be for a guy like Ryan. I wonder too how Bert will handle all the hooplah in Toronto, as he's an outdoorsman type. Time will tell.
O'reilly isn't a "hometown boy", he's from Bluewater, ON which is 3 hours away from Toronto.
Maybe there's wasn't many Tim Hortons?😂😂
he said in his locker cleanout interview he wasnt coming back , he isnt the first one to point out the culture of the leafs locker room and keefes coaching , ever ask yourself why keefe has never been nominated for coach of the year? think about the leafs only being able to sign scrubs the last 5 years , its just the cap , its keefe and his ties to david frost
his reasons were personal…he can't admit what ..
OReilly wasn't the man in Toronto or even close as we have 3 well qualified assistant captains.
Ryan O'Reilly didn't want to address the obvious: he felt like the leafs isn't built nor has the drive and proper attitude to be successful in post season. Boom…that's the real elephant in the room.
