With the 23/24 EFL Championship line up confirmed it’s looking like a brilliant season coming up. Southampton, Leeds United and Leicester City come down from the Premier League with Plymouth Argyle, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday joining from League One. The play-off losers Middlesbrough, Coventry City and Sunderland all could stay strong, and Watford, Norwich City and West Brom still remain.
Could this be the best Championship line up ever?

So what Benjamin is saying is that the most competitive league ever is going to be even more competitive. Bring it on!
Leeds fan here, your championship content is the best, the one positive to relegation is watching your channel.
Being a Forest fan im so glad we are out of the championship, such a hard league and so difficult to get out of.Leicester and Southampton will go up but Leeds will struggle ,will maybe make top 6,hope sheff wed do well, will be watching from afar.
Leed back down. Me “what’s up with Bloomy”
we meet again! As A Leeds fan I loved your channel from 2018-2021. Was hoping It would be a while before I started watching your channel every week again! Only good thing is religiously following you again Benjamin!
Leeds all the way to the top and back to the P.L.
I think next years championship is going to be an extremely tough league to play in.
Hi Benjamin, as an Australian based owl just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed your content since discovering you in the last third of the season. I feel like I've enjoyed a rollercoaster with you – we were top of the league when I first subscribed and we all know what happened since. Wednesday, for the first time in a long time defied the normal script and provided moments of pure joy. I have learned to savour them when they come along, as they can be fleeting. As for the Championship, I have never seen it so strong. Leeds, southampton. WBA, leicester, ipswich . sunderland and us just to name a few. It almost looks like the old first division from a few years back. Enjoy the offseason, although i guess the transfer market and managerial changes will provide rich content. Here's to 23/24!
Cracking league
Yes, well there is those parachute payments. I'd be surprised if the dropped 3 don't make at least top 8 though
I think it's a transition season for us hopefully get some younger players while keeping the better older players so just staying in the league will be a brilliant it's going to be brutal this season
Hey my man. It's going to be a journey! Crazy season ahead. If Cov can carry on with the momentum built and hold onto at least Hamer or Gyokeres, get 4 or 5 quality players, I think we could do even better. One loss in 20 is unbelievable!
Unfortunately we are going straight to League 1
Looking forward to being back in what will be a very tough league to gain promotion from.
24 teams only there to watch The Wednesday he says tongue in cheek.
Wednesday will either finish rock bottom or get promoted again, it's the Wednesday way. We're like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.
Great video as always Benjamin! Saints are my team so though it is not a given I think we'll have a chance next season. Think Leeds could be up there too. Sunderland and Middlesbrough are huge teams so they'll be competitive. Sheffield Wednesday have potential to do well and can see them being decent at home. So many big teams in the League, gonna be very exciting and can see it being the most competitive in years. Some cracking matches I reckon. Hard to know how Norwich City and Watford will fair. West Brom may miss out on top 6 which I wouldn't complain about personally. Think Ipswich and Plymouth will stay up, gonna to go with that as they'll compete in that division. Hard to know how Coventry will do, but if they can keep onto some of their top players see them finishing in top half of table at least. Bristol City could be a surprise team and perhaps it is their time to finish in top 6. Hard to predict many of the teams in this league right now. Don't know about Hull but think they will stay in league at least and could finish somewhere in top half of table! Leicester have great fan base, don't know how close they'll be to top of league, if Barnes stays that will be huge! Very exciting for what lies ahead. 🙂
looking forward to the season ahead up the citeh ( lcfc ) jamie vardy's final party!!!
All 3 of Plymouth Ipswich and Sheff Wed…..all will be in Top 10!
Apart from 3 who dropped Wide open👍👍👍
Heyup Ben, welcome back. Like many teams, recruitment is gonna be huge. If one team is gonna fall apart we know who that's gonna be.
Will be following Plymouth. Home park was the first stadium I went to as a 3 year old.
Looks a tough league can’t predict what will happen but I hope Coventry do well so our former manager gets a chance to manage at the top level.I fear for Rotherham Cardiff and Huddersfield if warnock doesn’t stay on.
Glad we’re out of that crap league 1
Poor Sunday morning referees and even snow blind linos.
Hopefully with the backers we have now they only have one drive and that’s the prem
Every time I watch you I can’t believe you haven’t been picked up as a regular pundit on sky and other large media outlets. So informative, fair and engaging to watch.
Keep up the good work – SWFC fan. WAWAW 🦉
Anyone whos laughing at Leeds getting relegated deserves terminal cancer
Smaller clubs in the PL mean bigger ones in the Championship. I'd like to see Sheffield Wednesday, Coventry and Ipswich back in the Top Flight
The Championship is a real competition. Apart from the odd freak season you already know the PL top 5 or 6
Your channel keeps getting better and better, really well presented and informed, and always fair.
As a Luton fan I'm delighted AND relieved that we made it out this season because I thought it was maybe a now or never situation. Next season is going to be very tough, with no pushovers, Watford apart obv 😉 and many massive clubs in the mix, certainly more than the season just gone. It will be a very high quality season even after big Premiership sharks have taken bites out of the tastiest squads.
Strong middle table teams from European Top leagues wouldn't be any near confortable zone in such line-up!!!
The first Championship season to have two former Premier League champions within it's ranks. In total there are nine former league champions in the division, two of which have won European trophies. Here's to an absolute classic season of Championship football 💙
Ben you’ve got a million Leeds fans coming back can you handle it mate ? 🤣👍
Can't wait for august, one hell of a division next season. God knows how my team will do, (Bristol City). For most of last season I enjoyed watching us, from the turn of the year we played some fantastic football and caused pretty much every team we played problems. All I know is we are now quite sound financially and have some funds available to strengthen, it's looks like we are going to get the transfer targets we wanted early in the transfer window. Feeling the most optimistic i've been for donkeys years, but as we all know that means nothing in this division, that's what make it the rollercoaster it is! ♥
With our owner’s backing, how competitive we were against Burnley in the cup and McKenna’s style of play, Ipswich should challenge for top 6 even in such a strong division. Looking forward once again to your insightful stream Ben. This close season is now officially painful!
It will be nice to renew your acquaintance Ben. Leeds are like headless chickens at the moment – BUT, with new owners, new manager and new players (lol) we might yet make a fist of it. My very first Leeds match was at Portman Road in the early 1970s so it will be good to lock horns with Ipswich again. PS. Can we have Leif Davis back please?
It will be a lot harder than last season. Burnley were not that good to run away with it like they did
Going to be the toughest season the championship seen in years
As I see it the attendances in the Championship will be a record this coming season. Leeds replacing Luton, and Leicester City replacing Burnley should be a net gain of 40,000 per weekend. Very competitive, as usual.
